BID Meeting Minutes

Attendees:
Matt, Bart, Tim, Jim (via phone), Joyce, Ainsley, Kevin, Philippe

1. Leadership

• Matt announced he is too busy and would like to step down as President.

• Tim asked if anyone is interested in taking on the President role.

• Steve from Reiver’s expressed possible interest in joining the BID.

◦ Eligibility to be confirmed (question of ownership vs. manager status).

2. Social Media & Marketing

• Joyce inquired about the BID social media account and Jackie’s role.

• Matt confirmed an Instagram account has been created.

• Action Item: Obtain account credentials.

• Goal: Share and amplify content from all merchants via the BID Instagram.

• Ainsley volunteered to manage the Instagram account.

3. Funding Update

• Joyce requested clarification on the proposed $10,000 funding.

• Matt reported:

◦ Request submitted to the City of Denver for $12,000

◦ Only $2,000 has been awarded to date

4. Meeting Schedule

• Agreed that the President will set meeting dates.

• Proposed schedule:

◦ Second Thursday of every other month at 9:00 AM

◦ No meeting in December and an extra meeting in September to set budget for 2027

5. Trash & Street Maintenance

• Need identified for additional trash receptacles on the block.

◦ Approved.

◦ Jim to research options.

• Current city pickup (Wednesdays) is insufficient.

• Action Items:

◦ Tim to explore additional trash can options

◦ Matt to obtain quote from Lem for increased pickup frequency

6. Budget Updates (Joyce)

• $2,500 allocated for flowers

• $2,500 allocated for trash receptacles

7. Committees & Responsibilities

• Flower Committee:

◦ Ainsley volunteered to lead

• Tree & Sprinkler Maintenance:

◦ Joyce to follow up

8. Jackie Engagement

• Discussion of Jackie’s responsibilities, her progress, accessibility and our budget.

• Motion passed to terminate Jackie’s engagement.

• Matt will notify Jackie.

9. Adjournment

• Meeting adjourned at 11:00 AM
